TrueMass is a coalition of three students at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst dedicated to bringing you the latest on everything UMass.

Meet the writers:

Emma Sammuli: Emma is a sophomore journalism major at the university. She writes for the lifestyle column at the digital based student run newspaper, The Amherst Wire. Here she finds inspiration in food, travel, and relationships. She also does freelance writing outside of school. Emma enjoys true crime podcasts, playing with her puppy, Indie, and watching far too many tv shows.

Julian Mendoza: Julian is a sophomore English and journalism major at the university. He is a multimedia writer that dabbles in styles ranging from local reporting to free-form poetry. To him, journalism’s importance stems from its purpose to advocate for fairness and equality, especially for those without a voice. In his free time, Julian enjoys breakdancing, writing music, playing basketball, and eating at unhealthy hours of the night.

Lucas Tragos: Lucas is a junior communication major at the university. He has extensive experience in video and live television production. Lucas has a great passion in doing for-profit work. In his free time and when he has no time, Lucas uses Instagram, watches movies, and frequently eats multiple large-scale meals per day.
